Open Access Policy
Research Collab
Research Collab supports the dissemination of scholarly knowledge and promotes wider access to academic and research publications through its digital publishing platforms. This Open Access Policy outlines the principles governing the accessibility, use, and distribution of publications made available through Research Collab.
1. Open Access Commitment
Research Collab aims to make scholarly publications accessible to researchers, students, educators, and the wider academic community. Publications designated as Open Access are made available online for reading and consultation without mandatory subscription or payment for access to the published content.
2. Online Accessibility
Open Access publications may be hosted on the official Research Collab website or other designated digital platforms. The availability of a publication in digital format does not automatically mean that every publication issued by Research Collab is Open Access. The access status of each publication will be specified where applicable.
3. Copyright and Author Rights
Copyright ownership and author rights shall be determined by the terms stated in the respective publication, copyright notice, publishing agreement, or applicable licence. Unless expressly permitted by the applicable licence or authorised in writing by the copyright holder, users must not reproduce, republish, commercially distribute, or substantially modify published content without appropriate permission.
4. Licensing and Permitted Use
Where applicable, Research Collab may publish content under a Creative Commons licence or another clearly identified open licence. The specific licence displayed with a publication determines the permitted conditions for sharing, reproduction, adaptation, and reuse. If no open licence is specified, users should not assume that unrestricted reuse is permitted.
5. Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original and that they possess the necessary rights and permissions for all included text, figures, tables, photographs, datasets, and other third-party materials. Authors must disclose any relevant copyright restrictions affecting the publication of their work.
6. Publication Charges
Open Access availability does not necessarily mean that publication is free of charge for authors. Any applicable editorial, processing, production, DOI, ISBN, or printing charges will be communicated separately before the relevant service is undertaken. Such charges do not, by themselves, determine whether a publication qualifies as Open Access.
7. Preservation and Availability
Research Collab may use appropriate digital repositories and archiving services to support the discoverability and continued availability of its publications. The availability of a publication through an external repository depends on the applicable deposit terms and the services provided by that repository.
8. Ethical Use of Published Content
Users accessing Research Collab publications must acknowledge the original authors and sources when quoting, citing, or referring to published material. Plagiarism, misrepresentation of authorship, unauthorised reuse, and other forms of academic misconduct are not permitted.
9. Policy Updates
Research Collab reserves the right to revise this policy when necessary to reflect changes in publishing practices, licensing arrangements, applicable law, and scholarly communication standards. The latest version published on the official website shall serve as the current policy.
